At Lieder Development we put our decades of experience behind everything we fabricate, including our Magic-Tees. The Magic-Tee allows for energy going into the E and H plane ports to be divided between the two colinear ports, while isolating the E and H plane ports and the two colinear ports from each other. Different than other power dividers or couplers, the H plane port, known as the sum port, will present the same phase at both colinear ports and the E plane port presents a 180-degree phase referenced to the different colinear ports. This function of a Magic-Tee is also symmetrical and will split the energy going into a colinear port to both the E and H plane ports. Hence, signals going into the colinear ports will be simultaneously divided, summed at the H plane port, and differenced at the E plan port.
The Magic-Tee is a hybrid coupler commonly used in microwave systems. A unique waveguide coupler, the Magic-Tee (sometimes called a magic-T or a hybrid-tee) combine both E- and H-plane designs common to magnetic and electric field couplers. The Magic-Tee can be used as a power combiner or a power divider based on the needs of your given application.
Whatever your required specifications, we are capable of fabricating a Magic-Tee for you. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
